Federation of Children’s Book Groups – Children’s Book Award 2018!

Yesterday I attended a wonderful awards ceremony in London for the Children’s Book Award.  This is an extremely special award because it is the only national award voted for solely by children from start to finish. I was incredibly proud to have reached the final three in the Young Readers category! The prize went to the incredible The Explorers by Katherine Rundell who also won the overall award. (Katherine was in Japan and sent some great videos!). You can find out more about the award and the other nominations and winners at the Children’s Book Award website.

During the ceremony I got to meet lots of keen readers and voters and I was presented with a fantastic portfolio containing art work and comments about The Goldfish Boy created by children. Something I will treasure forever!
