When Social Media Does Good!
04-01-2020
A few weeks ago I was tagged in a post on Twitter. Someone had found a notebook on a bus in London and was intrigued by what had been written inside. The notebook was filled with times alongside detailed comments about all that they had seen that day. They also mentioned a teacher and a character called ‘Goldfish Boy. The man who found the notebook posted a photo of the notebook on Twitter and asked who The Goldfish Boy might be..? It sounded like it had been written by a pupil on a school trip. Someone spotted the tweet, recognised my book title and shared it with me! Then more kind people got involved and managed to track down the school! It turned out that a class was on a school trip to Hyde Park and they had been reading The Goldfish Boy in lessons. One clever young girl had decided to write a log of her day in the style of Matthew! I Skyped the class before Christmas and yesterday… I got to meet the author of the notebook! How brilliant is that! š
